Backtrack Grandma and Grandpa Visit

My mom and step dad came down for a short visit the third week of February. They arrived on a Sunday afternoon and left toooo early on Thursday morning. The boys had a wonderful time hanging with Grandma and Grandpa and I had a wonderful time hosting without the boys under my feet while I prepared meals and kept up with the house.

On Sunday we left straight from the airport to our favorite restaurant: Nana Vetta's Country diner. MMMMM....MMM! If you've never had the opportunity to visit that great local fave, you are missin' out!!

We enjoyed a quiet evening at home on Sunday.
Monday morning the boys had breakfast at the bar with Grandma and Grandpa
and got a quick haircut from Grandma.
Then they headed out for a boat ride in the Everglades!
On the way to Everglades City they spotted some alligators in the canal.

Grandma bought the boys some sunglasses for the trip on the boat.
They got to see some dolphins playing in the wake of the boat.Nathanael got so excited that he was standing on the seat and looking over the edge. The boat driver made an announcement that it wasn't allowed, but Nathanael kept forgetting. So grandpa had to explain to him that he wasn't allowed
to stand and look over the back of the boat.

While in Everglades City they got to look at some skulls!
I think they were from alligators and dolphins.
Then, Grandma and Grandpa took Hunter and Nathanael out to lunch.
On Tuesday, Grandma and Grandpa took the boys to the beach!

On Wednesday we rested and hung around the house. Wednesday night we headed to Grandpa and Grandma's favorite place to go when the visit: Doc's Beach House. We watched the sunset and enjoyed dinner together.
We love it when Grandpa and Grandma come for a visit
and we miss them so much when they leave.

We love you Grandma and Grandpa!
