Surgery Update Number 2

We're roughly 3 hours in and Nancy, the rock star neurosurgical nurse coordinator, just visited us for the second time to let us know that mom is doing very well. The anesthesiologist is very pleased with the way her body is handling things. They have reached the tumor and Dr. Camarata is ready to begin the removal process. No word yet on how much the tumor has fused to her facial nerve.

My step-dad Bob, my Aunt Lori, and I have been getting an adequate amount of time with our devices while we wait.

We were paid a visit by a complimentary beverage cart volunteer

and have enjoyed other things such as comparing toenails and admiring the fact that my Aunt Lori's socks have a little mark that tells her which one goes on her right and left feet.

Stay tuned for more excitement.
