I arrived in Kansas City this afternoon after a whirlwind of mishaps and chaos at home and in getting to the airport, but am so grateful to be here.
My mom's sister, Lori, and her husband drove in from Chicago yesterday.
We've spent time doing puzzles on the computer,
celebrating my Aunt Lori's birthday with a present and some cake,
and visiting with my mom's pastor.
My mom has experienced the full range of emotions as she's waited for this day to come, but thanks to the prayers of many people she can say without a doubt she knows the LORD is by her side and that He will never leave her nor forsake her.
Her surgery is scheduled for 9 am central time tomorrow. We need to be at the hospital at 7 am for pre-op. The surgery should be around 6 hours long and my plan is to update this blog with her progress over the next several days.
While my blog posts automatically import to Facebook, they usually come with up to a 6-hour-delay so if you'd like to get the most up-to-date info you can check the blog directly.
Thank you for praying for my mommy tomorrow!
