Wow! This is BEAUTIFUL!

We arrived in Kansas City, KS safe and sound yesterday, ready to enjoy a lovely summer vacation with my mom and step dad. In the title of this post you will read the words that came out of Hunter's mouth when he walked out on the back deck of my mom's house.  He hasn't been here to enjoy the backyard in its full, summertime glory since two years ago.  Apparently, he didn't have much of a memory of it because yesterday he reacted as if he was seeing it for the first time.
She has a lovely pond with a waterfall complete with goldfish that come up to the water's
surface to give you kisses as they hungrily await you to feed them.
There is an area of soft, lush, green grass perfect for frolicking.  It's surrounded
by pretty privacy trees, shrubs, and flowers.  Off to the left side of this photo is a fountain stuatue of a little boy peeing  that Hunter enjoyed peeing along side when he was 18 months old.
In a side yard my mom constructed a little wooden bridge
that crosses into a Japanese area of plantings wth stepping stones.
Beautiful, indeed!
Her yard is the perfect stage for little boy adventures.
Daddy decided to make things a little interesting when he started a mini war with the boys.  The boys crouched and crawled as they tried to find safe cover from daddy's attacks.
They strategized to avoid the multiple daddy grenades and tomahawks flying through the air in their direction.  In reality, Daddy was just throwing tree bark and twigs at them.
Hunter got his bow and arrow out in an attempt to thwart the tomahawks buzzing by his head, but it was too little too late.
As they ran to seek shelter from Daddy's attacks,
he finally caught up with them in the grass.
And then, it was only a matter of time
before they had to admit
total defeat.
