CC Week 3 and Some Randoms

I love that my boys are still young enough for dress-up and pretend play.  It's one of my favorite things that I've loved to document over the years on this blog.

You can see some oldie-but-goodie posts of pretend play and dress-up here, and here, and here.

The other day Hunter and Nathanael got an itch to get their superhero capes on and go to town in a battle.  Not sure the look Hunter was going for here.

At just 19 months, Levi has started to enjoy dress-up much earlier than his brothers.  You can often find him wearing a hat around the house.  His FAVES are cowboy hats.  He also dabbles in army helmets, fireman hats, Davy Crockett coon skins caps, and train conductor hats.

This week at CC was great!  Here's Hunter jumping up and down with his class as they worked on their memory work.

He's getting so big and handsome!
We had a cool science experiment this week where the children recreated a visual effect demonstrating why you can see through the ring around the planet of Saturn.
And here's his second presentation in CC:  Talking about his homemade crossbow.
At home we played phonogram bingo during one of our Langauge Arts lessons.  Mommy won the first game.  Hunter won the second.

My sweet, friend-for-life, and homeschooling mom mentor,  Michele gave us this cool 3D puzzle of a Dimetrodon when we were at her house last month and Hunter put it together this past week.  He did 99% of it by himself.  He did a great job!!
One of the benefits of homeschooling is having a flexible schedule.  Last week our friend Carter came over for a visit in the afternoon.  Hunter had fun making a hunting camp with Carter.  They ate their lunch in a tent and then bagged a bear and a lion on their hunting trip.  :)
Levi is thrilled to have the busses back after them being gone all summer.  Every day he likes to go out front and watch them leave with all the children on them headed home after a long day of school.  We think his favorite color is yellow because busses are his favorite.  When we're driving down the road and he sees a bus he points and yells, "Buh! Buh! Buh!".  He does this CONSTANTLY!  It's very cute.
Along with being cute, Mr. Levi has also had a bad spell of teething this last week.
This over-tired, little booger kept his daddy and I up 3 or 4 nights this past week!
And every time I looked in on him during nap time, this is what I saw:
Thankfully, last night was his best night sleep in a few days and he's taking a great nap as I type.  Here's a picture of his happy face this morning:

Here's a quick clip of the hillbilly slide Hunter made for Levi on the porch last week.
